Area 2: Summit/Medina Workforce Investment Area
The Summit and Medina County Region is one of Ohio's 19 local workforce investment areas. These local areas are part of a comprehensive workforce development system that integrates Ohio's economic development, workforce development, and education and training systems into a cohesive and effective system.
The Summit/Medina Workforce Investment Board, appointed by local elected officials, is an advisory board that directs the uses of workforce development funds in our counties, coordinates with economic development efforts, and develops strategies to address major workforce development needs.
