Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director, Helen Jones-Kelley will visit Summit County

-- Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry, in collaboration with Ohio State Representative Vernon Sykes, Summit Workforce Solutions and Summit County Department of Job and Family Services Director Sarah L. Kisner, is pleased to announce the upcoming visit of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director, Helen E. Jones-Kelley.
Director Jones-Kelley will spend the day, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at The Job Center located at 1040 East Tallmadge Avenue, Akron, Ohio. This is her first visit to Summit County since her appointment by Governor Strickland in January. She will speak about welfare reform and the recently passed state budget. She will also share her vision, expectations and thoughts about the challenges that will face Ohio’s counties in 2008-2009. In addition to Director Jones-Kelley, Summit County Executive, Russell M. Pry and Akron Mayor Donald Plusquellic will provide information relative to regional economic development. The event is open to everyone.
